Wo Fat - "There's Something Sinister In The Wind" (Song Premiere)

Dallas’s Wo Fat have reached their 10 year anniversary here in 2016, and there couldn’t be a better pay off than another record in their classic style of Black Sabbath soaked in Blue Cheer.

Coming out on May 20th, Midnight Cometh is the band’s first record for Ripple Music (Chron Goblin, BoneHawk) and today we’re debuting the opening track, “There’s Something Sinister In The Wind”.

“‘There’s Something Sinister in the Wind’ is maybe my favorite song on the album,” said Wo Fat member Kent Stump. “The musical influences and ideas that were the impetus for writing this song are many and varied but a big part of the concept though, is a metal take on some Afro-Cuban grooves. We even put some traditional Cuban drums on it. Lyrically it’s about Armageddon (which is basically the overarching theme of the album as a whole) and more specifically the idea of a digital Anti-Christ in this age of technology and the touch screen trance.”

Head below to check out the track via your own digital Anti-Christ device; it’s guaranteed to be a solid addition to your heavy stoner rock repertoire.

Midnight Cometh will be released on 5/20 via Ripple music. Pre-order it here and here. Follow Wo Fat on Facebook here.
