Watch Converge 'Jane Live'

converge jane doe live

Pro shot live videos from festivals are nothing new, and usually not worth mentioning. ‘Jane Live’ is an exception, first because it’s Converge, who remain one of the last uncontroversially excellent bands in metal and hardcore, and second because the following pro shot video shows the band performing their most beloved album, Jane Doe from front to back for probably the only time.

As far as videos go it’s ok. the camera work is a little shaky, and the zooms are very fast, which may have been an intentional choice in order to highlight the chaotic nature of Converge and this material in particular.

The performance, though, speaks for itself. The band is on point throughout. Highlights include the always-excellent “Homewrecker”, and a rare performance of “Phoenix in Flame”. Hell, see if you can find our own Ian Cory in the audience.

For better audio quality, here’s the Bandcamp embed.

You can buy ‘Jane Live’ on LP here, though probably not for long. Follow Converge on Facebook.
