Wanderer's "Dirt" Waves Goodbye to the Triple Rock

As a form that so highly values emotive and wrenching live shows, hardcore music on wax perpetually faces an uphill battle: the recorded tracks rarely match the visceral intensity of those same songs played live. With their upcoming Abandoned EP, Minneapolis quartet Wanderer does its damndest to bridge that gap. “Dirt”, the first single from the record, juxtaposes sprinting D-beat with taunting sludge in the spirit of Cursed. Recorded live at the Triple Rock Social Club before the iconic venue closed its doors, the Abandoned EP revels in unhinged grit.
