Stream: Lord Dying's "Dreams of Mercy"

Just a handful of days ago, Portland band Lord Dying released the title track from their debut album, Summon the Faithless. That album is coming from Relapse on July 9th. And now we get to hear a second track, “Dreams of Mercy”.

You can listen to “Summon the Faithless” on the band’s Bandcamp and the rest of the album is just as good as the two songs they’ve released so far. The press material says they smash together the riffs of Hire on Fire and the grooves of Kylesa. That’s a pretty fair statement, as it definitely has heavy, meaty riffs yet still manages to be limber enough to headbang and fistpump to. If this is music for the faithless, then sign me up.
