If you put aside the horrible crimes against humanity that Christianity is responsible for around the world, and, of course, the whole god thing, there are some interesting and morbid aspects to the religion. The trappings of this religion are pretty metal in concept. We’ve got parishioners engaging in drinking blood and eating flesh on a regular basis. Jesus is impaled and nailed, and after he’s crucified and the consensus is that he’s not only merely dead, he’s really most sincerely dead, he comes back to life.
Now, upon us is the holiest and most metal of all holidays, Easter. Today, Good Friday, is the day on which his crucifixion is observed. There’s pretty much nothing more metal than a crucified god, so we’ve put together a playlist to get you in the mood to celebrate.
