Shining announce new LP, sort of

Sweden’s Shining have announced 8 1/2 – Feberdrömmar I Vaket Tillstånd, the band’s new LP due on Dark Essence Records on September 24th. The art, above, is available on two different pre-order versions of the record, both of which are up at the label’s site.
The project is an odd one, as indicated by the “8 1/2” moniker considering this would be the band’s ninth LP offering. 8 1/2 – Feberdrömmar I Vaket Tillstånd will revisit material from the Livets Ändhållplats and Angst era, incorporating in the keys of Lars Fredrik Fröslie, who didn’t hop on board with the band until VI – Klagopsalmer. In addition, six different vocalists will bless the tracks, including Niklas Kvarforth, completing a reimagining of the previous material. Head below for a stream of some older Shining material.
