Pure evil made sound -- that's what French Canadian blackened death metal trio Shezmu strives (and succeeds) to be. This isn't a "new old school" romp, nor is it a trek into the deepest realms of space; no, this is a statement of mal intent, of spiritual suffering and the deepest rage which comes thereafter, which is all too fitting with a song title like "Lex Talionis."
