Doing 200 of anything is pretty impressive. 200 monthly issues of high-caliber metal coverage, though, is in another realm entirely, and that’s where Decibel Magazine finds themselves 17 years down the road. As readers and followers of Decibel (and in some cases, writers), we reached out to editor-in-chief Albert Mudrian to talk about this landmark and the celebratory livestream they’ve got planned. Of course, said livestream isn’t quite what anyone was hoping for, but the live event that would do this justice isn’t possible just yet, at least in the United States, and as we talk about here, there’s much to look forward to in this unusual livestream.
