. . .

Ask any barista, retail sales person or Microsoft Excel whiz down on Wall Street and they'll have the same New York dream, to get their band noticed. Which makes the ascension of Brooklyn's Sannhet all the more sweet; their cross-pollenation of post-hardcore, post-rock and soaring black metal has drawn comparisons to Russian Circles and Altar of Plagues. The comparisons are warranted.

Brooklyn metal institution Saint Vitus Bar sees its share of shows, and took notice. The bar created a record label and its first release is Sannhet's Known Flood, due on February 19th via their new imprint Sacrament Music. Check out a video for the band's first single "Absecon Isle" below, along with some live video. If you're in the NYC area, check out Sannhet at Saint Vitus on February 22nd. BrooklynVegan has the info.
