Re-Buried Repulsive Nature

Re-Buried Leave "Smoldering Remnants" Of Death Metal (Early Track Stream)

Re-Buried are a new entity out of Seattle. Formed by members of Un and Fórn and showcasing a different look than either band’s funeral doom and sludge, respectively, the focus this time around is on pure death metal. The riffs are fast and furious with an emphasis on the American ethos of death metal; riffs first and foremost with all the rest coming in to round out the package. This 10-track slab of death metal entitled Repulsive Nature drops late next month as one of the first extreme metal beasts to emerge in 2023.

Today we premiere one of the tracks off the aforementioned album, “Smoldering Remnants”: a song chock full of riffs and lyrics that violently slice and dice.

“Smoldering remnants of rotten human flesh
They spread deceit with every breath,
Leave no survivors, no stick or stone unturned
The dead remain, the living burn
Brutal execution with a tainted blade
Anti Christian revolution in Lucifers name.”

This track swirls around the listener, enveloping you in a maelstrom of mayhem and sanguine horror. The meat-and-potatoes death metal you crave is right around the corner–and it gores you as deep as ever.

Guitarist Paul Richards, who wrote the song, had this to say about it:

When we first started writing this song I named it “Krev čurat”, which means blood piss in Czech. In the same vein of a particular Cannibal Corpse song. This is usually the song we close out our sets with and it’s our favorite track on the album.
