Locrian's weekend of dates came to a close on Sunday, with Friday's show at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn (June 28th) being a second of the stint. There the black-metal tinged band that deals in noise, ambient and industrial laid out a set featuring keys, drums, guitar and beaucoup effects, launching into materia from their recent Return to Annhilation effort (recently reviewed and currently streaming). Support came from instrumental post-rock/hardcore/metal trio Sannhet, who's visually heavy set seemed to draw as much of a crowd as the headliner. Marching Teeth, a riffy sludge-meets-hardcore trio, opened the evening with a bang, almost literally; multiple audience goers discussed their borderline-excessive volume after the fact.
