Organ Dealer Offer a Grisly Double Dose: "Daily Existence" and "Misdirected Suffering” (Stream Two Tracks)
New Jersey grind institution Organ Dealer have amassed a 21-track beast: entitled The Weight of Being, the band’s second full-length is set to release late July via Everlasting Spew Records. The band worked together with producer Kevin Bernstein (Misery Index, Full Of Hell, Noisem) to bring about furious riffs and blast beats for days. The band had this to say about the record:
This album was long in the making for us. It was written during a time of extreme uncertainties. First we were down a guitar player and shortly after we began the writing process, Covid hit and the world shut down.
We had about half the album done by then but the rest of the process proved difficult with just Eric and Jeff meeting up and sneaking into the practice space whenever possible. On top of this, in the middle of the pandemic, Jeff and Eric’s apartment burned down in June.
However, this only made us more determined than ever with nothing to look forward to other than finishing this record. It really was our only outlet and escape from the collapsing world around us.
Kevin Bernstein was at the helm. We’re relieved it’s finally finished and happy to share with everyone what we’ve been working on.
Because you can never have enough grind, we have two new tracks on tap for us today. The first is “Daily Existence,” which blasts out of the gate with pained shouts and drums that blast your ears apart. The song continues the direct attack by upping the ante with a speedier section before it abruptly ends. Following that up is “Misdirected Suffering,” a shorter offering that fires on all cylinders. This compact record barely makes it over 22 minutes, so rest assured you’re getting the most tracks for your time here.
