On Sale Now: Exclusive Satyricon Reissues, Slayer Colored Vinyl, & More

BV/IO launched a record, shirt, and toy store back in January, and two exclusive Satyricon variants today. Here’s more info on those and other shop highlights:

SATYRICON – DARK MEDIEVAL TIMES & THE SHADOWTHRONE

Norwegian black metal lifers Satyricon have been at it with the core duo of Satyr and Frost for over 25 years, and they continue to evolve and progress in fascinating ways. Their most recent album, 2017’s Deep Calleth Upon Deep, was genuinely great, and we look forward to the band making their planned trip to the US as soon as it’s safe (they’re on the bill for Psycho Las Vegas for now). Meanwhile, Satyricon are revisiting their early days with reissues of their first two albums, Dark Medieval Times and The Shadowthrone, both released in 1994.

The remixed and remastered reissues come with alternate artwork, and we have exclusive colored variants of each one available in the store. Dark Medieval Times is available on silver vinyl, while The Shadowthrone is available on oxblood vinyl, and both are limited to just 500 copies each. Get yours while they last.

MOTORHEAD – OVERKILL (40th Anniversary Edition)
(Classic 2nd album with lots of extras)

Ace of Spades might be Motörhead’s best known album, but the one that came before might be their best. Their second album, Overkill, includes such bone-ratting, full-throttle, barnburner classics as “Stay Clean,” “No Class,” and the unstoppable title track. For this 40th anniversary set, the original album has been half-speed mastered from the original tapes and pressed onto 180 gram vinyl along with a previously unreleased 1979 concert, and a 40-page book including interviews with the band & never before seen photos. CRUMBSUCKERS – LIFE OF DREAMS

Long Island crossover thrashers Crumbsuckers are celebrating their 35th anniversary this year and reissuing their classic 1986 debut, Life of Dreams. Our exclusive variant is pressed on transparent vinyl with apple red and emerald green splatter and limited to 300 copies worldwide. [GET IT]

DEVIN TOWNSEND – ACOUSTICALLY INCLINED – LIVE IN LEEDS

This 2019 Leeds Devin Townsend show had previously only been available on Blu-ray as part of the Ultimate Edition of Empath. It’s since been remixed and remastered, and our exclusive edition is pressed to 150g 2LP tan vinyl. [GET IT]

MR. BUNGLE – THE RAGING WRATH OF THE EASTER BUNNY DEMO
(Mike Patton, Dave Lombardo, Scott Ian… 2LP red pressing of this ferocious comeback)

Mike Patton’s new and improved Mr. Bungle, resurrected after over 20 years, re-recorded their 1986 demo, and as Andrew Sacher wrote in the BV review, “This album finally gives these songs the proper treatment they’ve always deserved, and the members sound as inspired as ever on these recordings.
