As I type this, Nightbitch are probably lying awake in bed. They’re replaying memories of their first gig tonight. This went well; that could have gone better. Surely they were pleased with the bill. They opened for Black Pyramid and the mighty Let the Night Roar, who are touring together for a few weeks. Let the Night Roar, Nightbitch, and Nightbringer should tour together as The Armies of the Night.

Earlier in the day: a link arrives in my inbox. It advertises “CT sleaze rock from members of Ipsissimus and Hour of 13”. A download link yields a 3-song promo featuring Phil Swanson of Hour of 13, Seamount, and more. “Sleaze rock” is misleading; “rock-ish doom” is more like it. Swanson’s voice is too grand to be sleazy. If sleaze must be had, think “ritual orgy”, not “stripper pole”. A five-track demo is coming, so to speak.
