New Watchtower music!

. . .

Something in the water is making 20 year-plus inactive technical thrash bands kick ass again.

First, Anacrusis re-record their first two albums for a compilation called Hindsight (see here). Then they release a rehearsal video (see below) showing that they still sound and look great. So, how about some new material?

. . .

. . .

Then Watchtower, who’ve been saying, “It’s not going to happen” since forever, surprise the hell out of everyone (including probably themselves) and make it happen.

Check out new song “The Size of Matter”, featuring the Control and Resistance lineup, in the MySpace player below. You can buy it on Amazon here. Control and Resistance was the Hall of Fame album for Decibel #59 (excerpt here, order here).

The new song sounds good. I want Jarzombek & co. to man up, make Mathematics (the Chinese Democracy of technical thrash?) reality, and shred the kids into the ground. I also want them to hire a new graphic designer. That image for “The Size of Matter” looks like an ad for some low-budget science TV show.
