Necrophobic - "Revelation 666" video

Hell yes! One of my favorite songs from last year, Necrophobic‘s “Revelation 666”, now has a video. Who knows if I’ll ever get to see the band live, so a video is the next best thing.

It’s a fairly standard performance video. But these guys are interesting to look at, and the backlit feel is cool. (It reminds me of ’80s metal videos and the cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s Down to Earth.) Hang on until the end for one of the sweetest outros ever. If this video had come out in the MTV days, they would have chopped the outro off.

Actually, the video wouldn’t have come out on MTV at all. It would have cost five figures to make, and MTV wouldn’t have played it. (Can you imagine Riki Rachtman introducing Necrophobic?) Making videos is cheaper and more feasible than ever, and I’m all for it.
