Mutant Supremacy - Infinite Suffering [free download]

My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth. – Job 19:20

Take a world filled with Jobs (but not jobs), and set their lives to music. Not the pap that comes from radio or TV, but the sound of bone on bone. Multiply by six billion, and you get Infinite Suffering. “Infinite suffering” might describe my state after hearing yet another retro death metal record. By now, my inbox practically has an Entombed back patch.

But occasionally something peeks through and says, “Listen to me. I have spirit. I may not have a lot of originality. In fact, I have none at all. But I can bring lightning and thunder and dirt and death. All on a small budget”.

Mutant Supremacy is one example. I’ve reviewed Infinite Suffering elsewhere, so no formal review here. But just the facts, ma’am, will do: two members of Atakke, another fine outfit from Brooklyn. Dirty and electric sound from Joe Cincotta, who’s twiddled knobs for Suffocation and Criminal Element. A strong Florida death metal vibe (think Morbid Angel and Deicide). And fantastic artwork, of which only a portion appears on the CD cover. If you want the whole thing on a poster, get the LP by contacting the band via MySpace or email (bobcnelson at gmail dot com).

Otherwise, the band invites you to download Infinite Suffering for free below. Listen, learn, and spread the word. In biblical terms, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”. Or at least every metal fan.
