Maryland Deathfest announce initial 2014 lineup

Maryland Deathfest announces its first batch of bands, and as you can see above, its a doozy. Swedish death metal gods At The Gates will make their return with an appearance at the fest, joining tech death monsters Gorguts (check out our recent interview), Norwegian black metal from Taake, Chicago doom crew Bongripper, progressive-obsessives Solstafir, black metal favorites Mgla (With Hearts Toward None has been on repeat lately), reunited Clevo death grind from Hemdale, the reunited death grind of Excruciating Terror (who play California soon), and war-mongers Diocletian. Look towards a “likely” Carpathian Forest confirmation as well. The At the Gates, Taake, Solstafir, and MGLA appearances will be the only ones in the US this year.
