Mansur's "Oscuras Flores" Transports the Listener to Other Worlds (Track Debut)

Mansur, featuring former members of Phurpa and The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, tastefully mixes oud and violin playing with eerie singing and powerful electronic beats, crafting a sort of retro-futuristic and non-Western-like sonic world. This is, in essence, escapist music, finding some cinematic idea of Antiquity and transporting oneself there. Mansur’s music builds an all-encompassing atmosphere and is, as stated before, transportative–the listener isn’t necessarily subjected to this music as they are introduced to, enveloped, and cradled by it. However heavy it gets, upcoming Mansur album Oscuras Flores, which is streaming ahead of its June 24th release date below, is a gentle, easy listen, not meant to impede the mental journey the listener takes but instead curates it.

Oscuras Flores releases June 24th via Denovali.
