Lightning Swords of Upcoming Death

Lightning Swords of Death have unveiled “Nihilistic Stench”, a song from their new album, The Extra-Dimensional Wound, out May 25 on Metal Blade. (Production credits and track list here, pre-orders here.) You can hear the song in the MySpace player below. It has over-compressed, wall-of-sound production, but that sort of fits the material.

I saw the band play last year, and it was no joke. (See also this review of the band opening for Immortal.) The stage was dark, the sound was darker, and the room was filled with spiritual energy, the kind that curls hands into claws. I’m looking forward to this album.
