InvisibleOranges + East Village Radio

The Last IO on EVR show - Playlist and Archived Stream

Last night was the final Invisible Oranges on East Village Radio show, and Wyatt and Scab went out in a blaze of metal-fueled glory, surrounded by a cohort of old guests and hosts. IO editor emeritus Doug Moore made an appearance, delivering a set of Metallica, Suffocation and Unsane; Kelly Kettering hit us with a dose of Electric Wizard; and Justin of Mutilation Rites shared a new MR song, “Suffer The Children,” off of their forthcoming album. It was a fun night, and we even gave away Agalloch tickets for their IO-presented Irving Plaza date when a listener called in to see if we were giving away tickets (we weren’t, but, what the hell, your radio station only shuts down once).

We’re sad to see EVR go. EVR was a great platform, with a lineup of shows that would make any programming director envious. It’s been a blast working with EVR, and while EVR will be shutting down at the end of this week—EVR goes off air at midnight on Friday, and you can vote on what will be the final song the station plays—we’re not so sure Invisible Oranges radio is going away for good. We’ll keep you updated on that front, but in the meantime, give our last show a stream in the East Village Radio archives and check out our playlist and some Instagrams from the booth below.

Thanks for listening!
