Intimate sounds, intimate apparel

Panties: Not the best thing on earth, but next to the best thing on earth.

Whoever said this was a wise man. He was also most definitely a man, since I’ve never heard a woman willingly use the word “panties”. Evidently “underwear” is the preferred term. God Is Myth calls ’em “undies”.

God Is Myth is not a woman, but a label. It specializes in black metal and tangents such as dark ambient. Pressings are small, and the vibe is intimate. The label is now accepting pre-orders for the ninth installment in its H.P. Lovecraft series, featuring 3″ CD’s limited to 100 copies. (Artists in the series have included Brown Jenkins, Frostmoon Eclipse, and Sapthuran.) I’ve written about God Is Myth releases here, here, and here.

Now the apparel is intimate also. God Is Myth is offering a CD/undies bundle for Wolfmangler‘s They Call Us Naughty Wolves. This is a limited edition of 30, in sizes small and medium. Audio clips of the CD are underwhelming; they suggest Tom Waits demos at best.

But instead of thinking of this as a CD/undies bundle, think of it as undies with a free CD. Then the possibilities expand dramatically. Starbucks and Pottery Barn offer CD’s in addition to their regular wares. Why not do the same with intimates? We could have the most necro lingerie store ever: Nightwishes.

It would be your one-stop shop for underwear and underproduced black metal. The bundling possibilities are endless. How about “The DDarkthrone” for the well-endowed? It comes with a copy of Ravishing Grimness. Frilly power metal could go with frilly things, too. How about “The Bra-instorm”? It comes with a copy of Soul Temptation. The cover is quite appropriate.

I’ll be here all night.
