In Aphelion Summons the "World Serpent (Devourer of Dreams)" in New Video (Video Debut)

International black metal trio In Aphelion, who boasts current and former members of Necrophobic and Nifelheim, play an impassioned, dark, and melodic form of thrashing black metal, but they don’t intend to reinvent the wheel, mostly because they helped construct it in their other projects to begin with. Comparisons to their other projects are apt, as guitarists Sebastian Ramstedt and Johan Bergebäck undoubtedly have crafted a style all their own over the past 25 years in their other bands, but what makes In Aphelion stand out from Necrophobic and Nifelheim is its passion and emotion, something the more “old school” bands don’t feel super necessary (which is okay!). Expect big guitar leads, soaring choruses, and, of course, riffs galore. It’s black metal, after all. It doesn’t have to be complicated.
