HAIL!HORNET Tour – Co-Sponsored By Invisible Oranges
Get ready to raise your metal claw. We at Invisible Oranges are proud to announce that we will be co-sponsoring sludge-metal supergroup HAIL!HORNET’s first ever American tour!
HAIL!HORNET is “Dixie” Dave Collins (Weedeater, Buzzov*en, Bongzilla) on bass, Erik Larson (Alabama Thunderpussy, Birds Of Prey, Parasytic) on drums, Vince Burke (Beaten Back To Pure, Lunch) on guitars, and T-roy Medlin (Sourvein, Buzzov*en) on vocals. The band released their sophomore album, Disperse The Curse earlier this year on Relapse Records and the album can currently be purchased via Relapse here or iTunes here.
Opening for HAIL!HORNET for the bulk of the tour is Atlanta psychedelic sludge band Zoroaster, whose excellent 2010 album, Matador, is still getting spins on IO iPods. Each night of the tour will also include a special screening of RWAKE lead-singer C.T.’s critically acclaimed documentary on southern metal, Slow Southern Steel. The trailer for the documentary can be seen here. (And if you're in the area, don't miss the Jan. 22 date, at Asheville, NC's The Orange Peel, which will feature a one-off performance by Corrosion of Conformity!)
