Goreaphobia‘s still got it. After putting out a demo and 7″ in the early ’90s and then disappearing into alcohol and personality conflicts, the Philly death metallers are reunited and reinvigorated. Their new album, Mortal Repulsion, is dark, woody, and raw, yet controlled. The old masters have old tools, but they’re sharp. Speaking of Master, Goreaphobia wrap up their tour with Speckmann and co. soon. Reports have been favorable — see here and here. Mortal Repulsion comes out on Ibex Moon on August 18. Here’s a taste.
