Black metal, in its classical sense, is a monochromatic genre, Black and white, snow and darkness, corpse painted onto the night sky. To Golden Light, however, this is not the case. Though similarities can be made to Henderson's other projects -- Golden Light is meant to be a continuation of his now-defunct Oaks of Bethel project -- and the colorful nature within can be found in all his projects (especially Njiqahdda), there is a different sort of sacred character found within Golden Light. A distant thrumming belying a blasting nature, Golden Light's Sacred Colour of the Source of Light LP increases black metal's color palette in one fell swoop.
