Ever the creative spirit and celebrating an imminent performance at the upcoming Roadburn Festival is Invisible Oranges favorite Maurice "Mories" de Jong, who returns under the Gnaw Their Tongues banner with fellow Tartarus Records alumnus Bismuth in what is both a fitting pairing and an unexpectedly varied split. Abandoning the harsh, blackened aura of his previous works, the bottom-heavy industrial plod of Gnaw Their Tongues's "Glorieus en Onheilspellend Bazuingeschal" depicts the dense, rhythmic undercurrent of his normally overwhelming and layered discography. Following a two-year gap after their dazzling Unavailing, English duo Bismuth continues to burrow into bedrock and emanate geologically heavy, animalistic drone/doom metal from the absolute bottom of the pit with the ominous "Harbinger."

Gnaw Their Tongues and Bismuth's split will coincide with Gnaw Their Tongues's performance at Roadburn later this month, handled by Tartarus Records both digitally and on tape. Dig deep and summon all your inner strength before listening to this pairing in its entirety below - however brief, it is devastating.
