From the deepest pits of Hell, Funeral Winds rises. This is black metal at its most distilled, its most stylistically conservative, and its most sinister. Funeral Winds makes no compromise when it comes to being black metal, and you won't find anything which takes away from their identity as such. It rips, it is scary, it is evil, and that is really the point. Dating back to the second wave's roots (1991, if you can believe it), Funeral Winds' trademark brand of "black metal evil" is as true as ever, and as the world is plunged into darkness, mastermind Hellchrist Xul's vision becomes all the more valid. There is no bullshit here, no atmospherics, no folk influence, nothing remotely Romantic -- Funeral Winds is wickedness made sound.
