Eave Fervor

Eave Create Dark, Atmospheric Energy with "Into Perdition" (Track Premiere)

Eave are back with a new album, Fervor, out July 28 via Bindrune Recordings. To give us a sampling of the heavy soundscapes in store for us, they shared “Into Perdition” ahead of the full record.
The record represents a departure from the band since their last record, Phantoms Made Permanent. They have moved back to their home state of Connecticut to unleash this record, which takes a new approach to their signature atmospheric metal sound.

“Heavily incorporating elements from myriad musical genres and applying a broad tone of experimentalism to their soaring style of New England black metal, Fervor marks a new period of focus for the band, as they press upon new territory that feels wholly their own,” the band’s official statement notes.

At slightly over six minutes, the track drifts back and forth through a lilting doom melody from rage and post-metal anguish to moments of clarity. It’s catchy and emotive at the same time, setting the state for both range and memorability with this album.

Recorded by the band in Connecticut, and re-amped, mixed, and mastered by Colin Marston in Queens, New York, Fervor will be out at the end of the month, but you can spin this track for now.
