Earache football scarf giveaway

When Earache Records approached me about giving away a “football scarf,” I had to Google what that was. I am a fan of neither the American nor the international forms of football. In the former, men in tights run at each other in 10-second spurts interspersed by adverts. In the latter, men run around not scoring goals while fans become drunk and nationalistic. Give me hockey any day.

But who am I to get in the way of “free”? This is a sweet giveaway. The package features a limited edition football scarf for the Heavy Metal Killers compilation (reviewed here). It isn’t for sale in Earache’s US or EU webstores, so I’d guess it’s something they manufactured for their own amusement. The package also includes three CD’s: the Heavy Metal Killers compilation and albums by Cauldron and White Wizzard, two bands on the compilation.
