Bruce Dickinson's aircraft safety video

Bruce Dickinson hosts “Safety in the Balance”
A video on how to load aircraft safely

. . .

It’s common knowledge that Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson is an accomplished pilot who flies the band around the world in a custom-outfitted Boeing 757.

What’s not-so-common knowledge is that Dickinson is genuinely dedicated to aviation. He’s served as captain for Astraeus – I wonder if he’d take a request for “Hallowed Be Thy Name” a cappella over the PA (at least a few bars) – and is now the British airline’s marketing director. Recently he hosted a safety video for the CAA, the UK’s aviation authority (the American equivalent is the FAA). You can see it above.

It is surprisingly watchable. Afterwards, you will know more about how to load an aircraft safely than you will ever need to know. Below you can see him reminding pilots not to infringe on controlled airspace. Cheers to Mr. Dickinson for contributing to the public good, in more ways than one.
