Music sometimes puts a color into our mind, and in the case of Black Vice, that color is a bloody, bloody red. Released earlier this year, their sophomore full-length The Alchemist's Vision builds an intoxicating visage of swirling scarlet energy through trippy, otherworldly black metal. It's mysterious, grim, and spiritually sinister, which is the same mood that the band's new music video for "Emergence" sets, shrouded in reddish hues. In the video, a hooded figure explores an ominous cave system while the equally obscured band executes the intriguing mid-paced track. Seeking the titular emergence, the entity eventually reaches what might be an exit -- or maybe an entrance to another trial. In either case, the ruby shades imbued into the visuals are a fitting match for the brooding, seething music.
