Battle Kommand and Candlelight unite

There is a very long press release out, which I will paraphrase thus: Candlelight is working worldwide with Blake Judd’s Battle Kommand Records. This is kind of a big deal, as Candlelight has extensive US, Canadian, and European distribution. Blake retains control of A&R;, while Candlelight does the heavy lifting of marketing and distribution. Other labels have benefited from Candlelight’s heft. For example, Willowtip’s releases come out in Europe under Candlelight. A deal with Siege of Amida has resulted in deathcore (e.g., Whitechapel) sporting the Candlelight logo. Strange, if you ask me.
Obscurus Advocam – Verbia Daemonicus
Battle Kommand should be a good fit, though. The label’s catalogue, listed below, is enviable. Starting April 21, Nachtmystium’s albums up to Instinct: Decay will be reissued. Reissues from Krieg, Obscurus Advocam, and Glorior Belli, among others, will follow. Some reissues will have bonus material. I am excited about Obscurus Advocam (whom I reviewed here) getting greater exposure. Their debut was one of my favorite records of 2007, and I still quite enjoy it.
