Batillus + Salome + Hull = heavy

Flyer by Atsuhiro Saisho

Tonight Batillus begin an Eastern/Midwest US tour alongside Salome and Hull. (See dates below.) I first wrote about them here. Now they have a new track, “The Division,” that really excites me. It features the addition of vocalist/keyboardist Fade Kainer, with black metal influences coming to the fore. Distant caveman vocals! Crushing doom! Delicate blackened bits in between! Never too much of these good things! I love how at 3:10 the track seizes up before gearing down yet accelerating. It will be part of a limited edition CD-R EP sold on tour. Someone sign this band! And many someones should see these shows. They promise to be as heavy as you like it.
