Amebix speaks from the studio

A minor revelation, but a revelation nonetheless: Amebix in motion. Maybe there’s some other promotional video or live footage out there. But until recent years, Amebix have been out of sight for so long that I haven’t thought to seek out video of them. They’ve always been recordings and still images to me.

But I clicked on a publicity email (I swear, every time I do that, a small part of me dies), and there was our own Kim Kelly, talking to Amebix in the studio. They say some interesting things. Mainly, I’m just thunderstruck that this band that I’ve never seen move before is now moving and talking. (Hello, technology!) I was already curious about their new record, as the teaser EP was good, so now I eagerly anticipate it.

Sonic Mass comes out September 20. You can hear a song from it here. Curiously, it sounds like later Killing Joke.
