Agalloch and Alcest in Romania

Agalloch and Alcest recently played a show together in Bucharest, Romania. This was a big deal because (a) Agalloch rarely plays live, and (b) it was Alcest’s first live show. Fans traveled from at least 15 countries to attend. Footage of this show, and of other Agalloch dates in Romania, has appeared on YouTube. Agalloch/Ludicra drummer Aesop Dekker is a highlight of these videos. His style and feel are instantly recognizable. He also got funny video footage of Neige and Fursy Teyssier from Alcest trying to curse like Americans. You have to log into Facebook to see it here and here.
New albums by Alcest and Les Discrets (Tessier’s project) are out April 20 on Prophecy Productions. (I’m really feeling the Les Discrets one.) Below are confirmed dates for Alcest’s upcoming North American tour.
