Now, that title isn't really a dis. In fact, Aetherius Obscuritas is a fine black metal band that's really grown over the years. But music hasn't been the only thing that's grown. In my review of the band's latest album Black Medicine (Paragon, 2009), I noted a possible correlation between body type and music type. Bigger people often make bigger-sounding music. For proof, see below. The muscles and music of Arkhorrl, mastermind behind Aetherius Obscuritas, have both ballooned over the years. He has also seemingly picked up a drummer at the gym. Kudos to Arkhorrl for earning such an impressive physique — though his PR skills need work.
