Xasthur Signs to Prophecy Productions, Slated for Prophecy Fest US after tour with Wino

Former one-man black metal act and current acoustic folk trio Xasthur has signed with Prophecy Productions. The label will be issuing the project’s upcoming Aestas Pretium MXVIII EP, a new release which highlight the group’s new, acoustic-oriented sound, something chief songwriter Scott Connor calls “Doomgrass.” The EP will only be available during Xasthur’s upcoming tour, which, as it so happens, includes Prophecy Fest US this November (tickets). Xasthur are now the 2nd band announced for the 2-day NYC fest. Year of the Cobra were the first. Stay tuned for more reveals for the IO-presented event.
