Woe Announce 'Hope Attrition', Stream "No Blood Has Honor"

woe hope attrition

After a four year absence, Brooklyn black metal stalwarts Woe have announced a new full length, Hope Attrition. This will be the band’s first album since 2013’s Withdrawal. Judging by the first song released, “No Blood Has Honor”, the new album will continue the band’s hard-hitting and very aggressive style of black metal. This will be the band’s first release with Lev Weinstein of Krallice and Anicon behind the drum kit, and while Woe is not as technically minded as his other projects, Weinstein’s swift kicks and hammering cymbal hits serve the project well. dig that mid-paced sing-along section near the end of the song. It reminds me of something Emperor or peak-era Immortal would do, and Woe is definitely aspiring to similar songwriting heights.

Hope Attrition will be released on March 17 via Vendetta Records. Pre-order it on Bandcamp. Follow Woe on Facebook.
