The Road to Hell's Headbash: Bonehunter, "Evil Triumphs Again"

When we were given the list of bands we’d be premiering and promoting as we count down the weeks to Hell’s Headbash, I was overjoyed to see Bonehunter included thereon. As far as modern thrash bands go, the Finnish three-piece are everything I could ask for, full of fury and power without resorting to a pretentious public image or too many bouts of black metal noise. Think Endless Pain-era Kreator, all stripped down and raw but at the same time really emotionally invested in the music.

“Evil Triumphs Again,” the closing title track of their 2015 release, can be heard below. It rages like a motherfucker, but it’s the huge, sprawling end of the track that’s going to bring down the Agora on Friday night of the festival. Hail.
