Chaos in Tejas 2013, Day 1: Benediction, No Statik, Kromosom, Power Trip, more
…
The first day of Chaos in Tejas is in the bag, featuring six-plus band bills across as many venues in Austin, Texas. Red 7 (indoors) housed the metal-leaning event for the evening, headlined by Benediction (who played Maryland Deathfest) and featuring appearances from Power Trip, Bitter End, Pinkish Black and others. Next door at Holy Mountain, Finnish d-beat greats Terveet Kadet headlined a set with Sete Star Sept and others. Pictures from both venues are below.
Bars in Austin close at 2PM, so a large number of folk migrated over to Lamar Pedestrian Bridge for a show with No Statik, Kromosom and Long Knife. Pictures of the latter are below as well.
The festivities at Chaos in Tejas continue tonight with a headlining set from a little band named Bolt Thrower. NBD.
