Maryland’s Iron Man started out as a Black Sabbath tribute band, but eventually evolved into a project of its own within it’s fertile local doom metal scene. Featuring the riffs of Alfred Morris III (who looks-a-little-like/is-doom-metal’s-answer-to Fred Williamson – a bad motherfucker), the Maryland doom crew has expanded on the teachings of sensae Iommi over the years, and now are readying a new album at Rise Above/Metal Blade with South of the Earth.
