Doesn’t anyone google anymore? Mention the band “Cleric” and it could mean entirely different things to different people, a groove metal band to folks in the EU, a technical metal band to those in the Northeast, and to fans of grindcore, a brutal death metal band from Texas.

The words “members of Kill the Client” definitely conjure a certain image, but Dallas crew Cleric stay away from grind for the most part, opting for brutal death metal instead. Over the course of their blasting three-song demo, the band burns through three tracks of tremelo picking, d-beat-y, snarling death metal, producing an effort that has me salivating for new material. Stream the band’s debut release below, and pray for more death!
