Round-Up: song streams by Disciples of Christ, Nails, Zozobra, Noisear, Woe, more

It’s been a productive few days for song streams and previews, including tracks from names like Nails, Windhand, Woe, D.O.C. and more. As such, check out a few notable ones below.

Instead of going for the grinding, blasting jugular, the California crew Nails have slowed things up on their new track “Wide Open Wound”. Stream that new offering from the Wide Open Wound LP due via Southern Lord on April 1st.

Reminder, Nails are on tour with Xibalba/Early Graves this spring and IO is the proud sponsor.

Richmond doom favorites Windhand released one of my favorite LPs of last year, and now they return with their local brothers Cough for a split LP due on 4/16 via Relapse. Check out a preview of new tracks from said LP below and expect a ripper.

Zozobra, featuring Caleb of Cave In, is back in action and will release their latest LP and first in five years, Savage Masters, via Brutal Panda this spring. Stream the new track “Black Holes” below.

Reminder, IO is proud sponsor of the upcoming Zozobra/Kowloon Walled City tour.

Disciples of Christ (mem Magrudergrind/Coke Bust/Sick Fix) are teaming with Baltimore speed-demons Triac for a split 7″ of grind/powerviolence-y obliteration. Stream the D.O.C. side below, and pick yours up at Nerve Altar.

Southwestern grindcore brutalizers Noisear have dropped The Red Oak Sessions (featuring Mitch from Maruta on vocals) which compiles material from a split with Department of Corrections and another three-way with The Kill and Antigama. In addition, Noisear have dropped a 100-track compilation Grinding For A Cure Vol. I set to benefit Alzheimer’s research. Stream that below and purchase your copy (for a good cause!) at their bandcamp.

Black metal crew Woe is now streaming a new track from their forthcoming Withdrawal due on Candlelight on April 23rd. The track is classic Woe, driving black metal ferocity, but the LP shows the band growing in different directions and even incorporating clean vocals into the mix. Stream that track at Pitchfork.

Philadelphian crew now counts members of Infernal Stronghold, Disma amongst its ranks, and sounded ripping at a recent appearance in Brooklyn (pics/video).

Milwaukee crust-hardcore crew Enabler are preparing to release the new Shift of Redemption EP via Think Fast! Recordings. Stream the new track “Live Low” (which first hit at Metalsucks) featuring the uber-complex and poetic yet ultimately satisfying opening verse of “Fuck you, fuck you fuck you forever”, below.
