Download Seamount‘s debut, ntodrm (Merciless, 2008) for free. Phil Swanson sounds a little like Ozzy. How this Yank hooked up with German doomsters is beyond me. Maybe he spricht Deutsches, since he used to sing for Bavarians Atlantean Kodex. He’s also in Hour of 13. He has good taste. This album is pretty much flawless. It’s classic metal, with a strong hand of doom.
Gates of Slumber did sort of the same thing recently. But Seamount blow Gates out of the water. If I had heard this last year, it would have been in my Top 5. Instead, it languished in my bookmarks until I stumbled across it today. Don’t make that mistake. Get Seamount in your life now. Give Seamount to others now.
