Anyone who has read my writing for this site in the past year or has listened to our radio broadcast knows that we here at Invisible Oranges are huge fans of Take Over And Destroy. Mixing the surging blackened thrash of classic Celtic Frost and Sarke with the Lovecraftian dark psychedelia of Electric Wizard and Goblin, the Phoenix sextet’s 2013 full-length debut Endless Night quickly became a must-spin record for myself after IO editor Wyatt Marshall introduced me to it one fateful Tuesday night at East Village Radio.

This August sees the release of TOAD’s second album, Vacant Face. In daring fashion, the band has taken their far-out sound even farther, creating a discomforting yet satisfying atmosphere of backwoods occultism. Enjoy a new track, “Terminal Burrowing”, below.
