Portal - Lurker at the Threshold

Everyone’s favorite cuckoo clock-headed Australian weirdo death metallers Portal begin a US tour tonight – in muthafuckin’ Compton. (Dates below.) Welcome to America!

While on tour, Portal will sell copies of their new picture disc 7″, Lurker at the Threshold. It’s a repress of two tracks from their 2006 demo of the same name. The songs are also on Outré (reviewed here), so if you already have that album, this release isn’t essential. The tracks don’t sound that different – a little rawer, perhaps. (You can stream “13 Globes” below.) But for all you collector types, the pic disc looks great and is limited to 1000 hand-numbered copies.
