Phil Anselmo's Housecore Horror Film Festival Announces Full Lineup

We’ve anticipated the Housecore Horror Film Festival for a while now (since the announcement was made in February) but the band line-ups and films have finally been released. And Wow, is it a doozy. The festival will take place at Emo’s in Austin over October 25, 26, and 27, 2013 and will feature rare horror films as its centerpiece. Along with Anselmo’s own band Down, his solo act Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals and Nola-sludge veterans Crowbar, the festival has now confirmed Gwar, Italian horror-prog band Goblin playing their first-ever US show, Eyehategod Warbeast and . . . oh, fuck it, just read the list here:

Former Mayhem vocalist and Sunn O))) collaborator Attila Csihar will perform a live soundtrack while the silent German expressionist classic The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is shown. Other films confirmed to be shown include, The Evil Dead (plus horror/exploitation reel), The Manson Family, Maniac, Zombie, Cannibal Holocaust (put this one on in the background of your next house party. Guests love it!), Scream Bloody Murder, and many others.
