New Corpus Christii music!

. . .

Corpus Christii‘s Rising was one of my favorite black metal records of the past five years. It was the brainchild of one Nocturnus Horrendus, but was not the typical malnourished squall. Instead, it was the sound of spiritual torment writ large. Such is technology that men can push buttons to bring down the skies.

Now this Portuguese act has unveiled “Crystal Glaze Foundation”, a taste of Luciferian Frequencies, which comes out later this year on Candlelight. (See announcement here.) It creeps and writhes like a malcontent Gollum. Guitars play hard-to-get left and right, then reach across the stereo spectrum to play rough. Howls and groans sear the landscape. It’s a thing of terrible beauty. I’m looking forward to this record.
