Morbid Angel Announce Tour

Hot on the heels of their album announcement, Floridian death metal alums Morbid Angel have announced a summer tour surrounding their appearance at Maryland Deathfest. Suffocation, Revocation and Withered will play support. Dan Vadim Von of Vadimvon will play second guitar. This will be their first tour with Von, as well as drummer Scott Fuller of Annihilated. The band’s next album is expected this summer.

Morbid Angel’s performance on Ilud Divinum Insanus and the subsequent dissolution of the band (only founding member Trey Azagthoth remains) has done much to erode the band’s goodwill among all but the most dedicated fans. that tour lineup, however, is excellent, and could be seen as a commitment to death metal as a genre and aesthetic. Here’s hoping for no industrial beats, and lots of cut from Formulas Fatal to the Flesh.
